Outstanding 2024 HSC Success
Central Coast Grammar was ranked 46th in the Sydney Morning Herald Top 100 NSW s.
Headmaster Phil O’Regan congratulated the Class of 2024 for their holistic achievements across a diverse range of subject areas.
“Our 2024 cohort has shown a depth of talent, following their individual passions and skillsets across humanities, science and the performing arts.
“These remarkable students have been challenged to think critically and with discernment, grapple with complex ideas, and stretch themselves beyond their previous limits. Witnessing their growth and transformation firsthand this year has been inspiring.
“Today is an opportunity to celebrate a significant milestone in the lives of these young adults, recognising not only their academic results but also the dedication and effort that has brought them here,” Headmaster O’Regan commented.
Dux
Karina Cowie is Central Coast Grammar ’s 2024 Dux with an ATAR of 99.3.
Top Achievers
Three students were recognised as Top Achievers, placing in the top 20 in their course in New South Wales:

Sherry Li: 5th in Chinese in Context

Lindsay Hallam: 10th in History Extension

Janine Southwell: 14th in PDHPE
All Rounders
Four students were recognised as All Rounders for achieving the highest band in ten or more units of study: Poppy Cameron, Karina Cowie, Jacob Crane and Lincoln Matodes.

21% of students achieved an ATAR of 95+

70% of all exams sat resulted in a Band 5 or 6

84 students were recognised on the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Distinguished Achievers list for achieving a Band 6 in one or more of their subjects

Ava Chippeck’s Dance Core Performance has been selected for CALLBACK’s annual showcase, one of only 30 works selected across NSW. Lili McDonald and Yasmin Pine were also selected on the reserve list for this showcase.
Modie Schmidt’s avant-guard film has been selected for the ARTEXPRESS showcase.
Success Beyond Results
Head of Senior College, Mrs Janine Comber commended the Class of 2024 not only on their academic successes, but for their attitude and camaraderie.
“These results represent much more than academic achievement. They highlight our students' drive, enthusiasm, and perseverance in striving for their personal best across all areas of school life.
“The 2024 cohort has embraced feedback from teachers and peers, sought support when needed, collaborated effectively, and prioritised daily connections with one another. Their focus on wellbeing, balancing their studies, and achieving their potential has truly paid off."
A significant number of students have received early offers to a wide range of universities across Australia, with fields of study including architecture, engineering, management, health and performing arts.
